Say goodbye to Alaska

The meaning of a place undergoes a radical redefinition once you’ve visited it for the first place. This will happen to ‘Alaska’. What I now know as ‘Alaska’ will forever be washed away from my memory and be replaced with the impressions of the coming week. ‘Alaska’ will literally never be the same.

What do I see as Alaska now, before ever having visited it? Its the end of the world. Something similar to Timboektoe. One of those places that seems to live in comics, novels and cold war stories.
