They’re Here…………..

The Aliens will arrive soon………Alien to Alaska that is! Mbwana of course, is by this trip a seasoned veteran and knows what to expect from my hostessing skills as well as the Wild Alaska Landscape.
On the other had Deborah and Aleksander have No idea what they are in for. The anticipation and excitement on my part is always tiring. I want to be the perfect hostess and tour guide to whomever Mbwana happens to invite on our yearly or bi-yearly excursions.
Getting the house ready, the reservations made and all the small details aligned so that all my guests are perfectly comfortable while hanging with Alaska Amy!
This year is even more of a challenge since Mbwana and I decided early on to invite 2 people instead of just 1 as usual. Special diets, beliefs and lets not forget this is Alaska! It can be quite rugged and brutal at times.
The Land of the Midnight Sun earns its name respectfully………On June 21, the sun rises in Anchorage at 4:20 a.m. and sets at 11:42 p.m. Really all summer in Alaska is bright with daylight. Since the residents of Alaska spend so much of their time in the dark during the winter months, we tend to go overboard with our activities during the summer months. We have too, this is the only time to fit everything in and like the bears during winter, most of us hibernate!
Alaska in summer is a non-stop adventure/party……….if you are game so are we……..see you on the water, the road or in the air!
